JD - Quality Control Engineer

Job Summary: Ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Responsible for inspecting and testing materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.

Must have a deep understanding of joinery processes, materials, and quality control procedures. The Quality Controller will work closely with the production team, suppliers, and clients to maintain and improve product quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Inspection and Testing:

• Conduct thorough inspections of Structure, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Perform functional and visual testing of joinery products, including furniture, cabinetry, doors, and windows.
• Use measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensions, tolerances, and material properties.

2. Quality Control Procedures:

• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures specific to joinery manufacturing.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections & quality control activities.
• Identify and document defects, deviations, and non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the production team to ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Communicate quality issues and recommendations to production managers, suppliers, and clients.
• Participate in quality control meetings and provide feedback to improve production processes.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the production team to implement changes
• Monitor and analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Stay updated on industry best practices, standards, and regulations related to joinery and quality control.

4. Training and Development:

• Train production staff on quality control standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Assist in developing training materials and programs to enhance quality awareness and skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Wood Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Controller in the joinery or woodworking industry.
• Strong understanding of joinery processes, materials, and quality control procedures.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools and quality control equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of ISO quality standards and certification processes.
• Experience with statistical quality control methods and tools.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ﷼6,000.00 - ﷼9,000.00 per month
