QC Inspector

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector with hands-on experience in the cable manufacturing industry, particularly in in-process and final testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting cables during various stages of production and conducting final quality tests to ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-process inspections on production lines to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct final product testing, including continuity, insulation resistance, hi-pot, and visual inspections.
• Accurately document test results and maintain quality records.
• Identify and report non-conformances; assist with root cause analysis.
• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external standards (e.g., UL, ISO, IEC).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams on quality improvements.
• Maintain and verify test equipment calibration and functionality.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of QC experience in cable or wire manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical testing methods.
• Ability to read technical drawings, cable specs, and test procedures.
• Familiarity with tools such as hi-pot testers, micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of UL, ISO 9001, or IEC standards.
• Certification in Quality Inspection (ASQ CQI or equivalent) is a plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement is a bonus.
