QA/QC Engineer – Marine & Civil Works

We are looking to hire an experienced QA/QC Engineer for our project in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems to ensure that all construction activities comply with project specifications, approved drawings, client requirements, and international quality standards.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Seawater Intake and Outfall Systems for Independent Power Plants (IPP), including seawater intake structures, outfall pipelines, marine works, dredging, and related civil construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, ITPs, and quality procedures.
• Coordinate inspections and testing activities with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Review and approve Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and quality documentation.
• Monitor construction activities related to marine works, dredging, reclamation, intake structures, outfall pipelines, and civil infrastructure.
• Prepare, review, and maintain quality reports, NCRs, CARs, and quality records.
• Conduct internal quality audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure materials and workmanship comply with project and contract requirements.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, field testing, and third-party inspections.
• Participate in quality meetings and provide technical support on quality-related issues.
• Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients to resolve quality concerns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects.
• Mandatory experience in Port, Marine, Coastal, Dredging, Reclamation, Roads, Infrastructure, or IPP Intake & Outfall Projects.

• Civil Construction Activities
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, and quality documentation.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Good understanding of construction materials testing and inspection requirements.
• Strong communication, coordination, and report-writing skills.
