Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer (Mechanical) for a 3-month contractual assignment on the RLIC QE Project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in welding inspection, mechanical QA/QC activities, and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve project QA/QC documentation including WPS, PQR, ITPs, procedures, and method statements from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for material approvals.
• Verify welder qualifications and welding procedure qualifications in compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure correct implementation of WPS and WPQ during site surveillance.
• Verify that inspections related to piping, structural works, welding, NDT, and mechanical activities are conducted in accordance with project specifications and applicable international standards.
• Prepare and review Internal Non-Conformance Reports (INCR).
• Ensure PWHT, notch toughness testing, corrosion testing, and other special service-condition requirements are completed as per client specifications and construction codes.
• Conduct procurement inspections of welding consumables and prepare inspection reports.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and client complaints, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with project teams to maintain compliance with QA/QC standards throughout project execution.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10+ years of relevant QA/QC experience in mechanical, welding, and inspection activities.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards related to welding and mechanical works.

Mandatory Certifications

• CSWIP 3.2.2 – Senior Welding Inspector + RTFI
• BGAS Level II – Painting & Coating Inspector
• QMS ISO 9001:2015 – Lead Auditor
• ASNT Level II in NDT methods:
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
• Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT)

Contract Details

• Duration: 3 Months
• Location: Project-based (as per RLIC QE Project requirements)
