QAQC /GIS Geologist

Asante Gold Corporation is a gold exploration, development and operating company with a high-quality portfolio of projects and mines in Ghana. Asante is currently operating the Bibiani and Chirano Gold Mines and continues with detailed technical studies at its Kubi Gold Project for early production.

All mines and projects are located on the prolific Bibiani and Ashanti Gold Belts. Asante is also exploring its Keyhole, Fahiakoba, and Betenase projects for new discoveries, all adjoining or along strike of major gold mines near the centre of Ghana's Golden Triangle. About This Role

This role drives the implementation of QAQC protocols to ensure reliable geological data for exploration activities. It applies GIS technologies to develop spatial models, analyze geological trends, and produce accurate maps and reports that support strategic decision-making across mining leases and prospecting licenses.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement QAQC protocols for geological sampling, drilling and analytical programs.
• Review and validate geological data including assay results, drill logs and geological interpretations.
• Conduct statistical analysis of analytical data to identify trends, outliers and detect anomalies.
• Prepare and maintain QAQC databases and tracking systems.
• Generate regular QAQC reports and present findings to project teams and management.
• Develop geological maps, cross-sections, and 3D models using GIS software.
• Liaise with laboratories to ensure proper sample handling, chain of custody and analytical standard procedures.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues and implement corrective measures.
• Manage geological and spatial databases with consistent updates.
• Conduct spatial analysis and geostatistical modeling of geological and geochemical datasets.
• Support field teams with GPS data collection and mobile GIS applications.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor or authorized delegate.

Education, Work Experience & Key Competencies

• Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering, Geology or Earth Sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in geological QAQC within gold mining or exploration.
• Proficiency in GIS software (MapInfo Discover) and database management tools (Datamine Fusion).
• Skilled in handling laboratory data and interpreting QAQC results.
• Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data validation techniques.
• Understanding of analytical methods and laboratory procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
