QC Inspector (Civil)

Key Responsibilities:

Inspection & Testing

• Conduct daily inspections of civil and structural works (e.g., excavation, formwork, rebar, concreting, masonry, plastering, finishing).
• Verify materials and workmanship against approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Ensure that all civil activities are carried out as per approved Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and QA/QC records.
• Maintain records of material test results, concrete cube test reports, and other quality-related documents.
• Ensure that all completed works are properly documented for handover.

Coordination

• Coordinate with construction, design, and QA/QC teams to resolve quality-related issues.
• Liaise with the client’s representative or consultant during inspections.
• Assist in preparing quality control procedures, checklists, and ITPs.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, codes (ASTM, ACI, BS, IS, etc.), and QA/QC plans.
• Report deviations or non-conformances to the QA/QC Engineer or Manager.
• Promote quality and safety awareness among the workforce

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7–8 years of experience in QA/QC for civil construction projects.
• Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001) and project specifications.
• Experience in preparing QA/QC documentation, test reports, and NCRs.
• Knowledge of construction materials testing and relevant standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic understanding of AutoCAD (preferred).
