QA/QC Manager

Company Overview

We are a leading construction contractor in Dubai delivering high-quality residential and commercial developments. We are currently seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and manage the Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems for projects under Trakhees authority in JVC.

Position Summary

The QA/QC Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) in compliance with Trakhees regulations, Dubai building codes, project specifications, and international standards. The role ensures that all construction activities meet approved quality standards from material submittals through final handover.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management System

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan (PQP) in line with ISO 9001 and Trakhees requirements
• Establish Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements review procedures
• Ensure all QA/QC documentation is controlled, updated, and properly recorded

Trakhees Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with Trakhees Engineering Regulations and Procedures
• Coordinate inspections with Trakhees authorities and consultants
• Manage documentation required for authority approvals and NOCs

Site Quality Control

• Supervise QA/QC Engineers and Inspectors on site
• Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and standards
• Conduct internal audits and regular site quality surveillance
• Verify materials delivered on site conform to approved submittals

Inspections & Testing

• Review and approve MIRs, WIRs, RFIs, and test reports
• Coordinate third-party testing and laboratory approvals
• Ensure all testing (concrete, soil, steel, waterproofing, etc.) is conducted as per project specs

Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions

• Identify non-conforming works and issue NCRs
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring quality issues

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain QA/QC logs, inspection records, and quality reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly quality performance reports
• Manage final quality dossiers and handover documentation

Training & Leadership

• Conduct quality induction and training for site staff
• Promote a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Certified Quality Professional / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor (preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15+ years of construction experience
• At least 10 years in a QA/QC Manager role in the UAE
• Mandatory experience with Trakhees projects
• Experience in high-rise residential or commercial buildings preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of:
• Trakhees regulations and Dubai construction standards
• ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Concrete, steel, finishing, and MEP quality control procedures
• Proficient in QA/QC documentation and reporting
• Familiar with Aconex or similar document control systems

Core Competencies

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent coordination with consultants, subcontractors, and authorities
• High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication and report writing skills
