Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily QC inspections for civil works including excavation, backfilling, formwork, rebar installation, concrete works, blockwork, and finishing.
  • Ensure construction activities meet project specifications, drawings, and standards (ACI, ASTM, BS, etc.).
  • Review materials and verify compliance with approved submittals and test certificates.
  • Coordinate and follow up on Inspection Requests (IRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) with consultants.
  • Monitor and oversee site tests such as concrete slump, cube tests, FDT, compaction, and other related tests.
  • Identify non-conformities (NCRs), assist in root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead QC inspectors and ensure proper documentation, reports, and record-keeping as per QA/QC procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure all QC activities comply with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and the QA/QC Manager to resolve site issues and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in civil QA/QC or site supervision (preferably in construction/infra).
  • Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, materials, and testing methods.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and QA/QC procedures.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is a plus.

Preferred Certifications

  • QA/QC Civil Certification
  • ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor
  • NEBOSH or OSHA (added advantage)
