Job Title: QC Inspector – Fruits and Vegetables

Job Summary:

The QC Inspector is responsible for inspecting, assessing, and ensuring the quality and safety of incoming and outgoing fruits and vegetables. This role ensures that all produce meets company standards, customer specifications, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming shipments of fruits and vegetables for quality, size, ripeness, color, weight, and signs of spoilage or damage.
• Check for compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and temperature control of perishable items.
• Document inspection results accurately, including quality reports, non-conformance reports, and photographic evidence if needed.
• Work closely with the procurement and warehouse teams to accept or reject products.
• Follow up on rejected or non-conforming items and coordinate corrective actions.
• Assist in audits and inventory rotation.
• Ensure compliance with food safety programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of inspection areas and equipment.
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• Prior experience in produce inspection or quality control in the food industry preferred.
• Familiarity with fruits and vegetables – ability to identify quality defects and understand ripening processes.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in cold storage environments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
