Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented QC Inspector – Structural Steel to ensure that all fabrication and erection activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable quality standards. The role involves inspection, documentation, and coordination with production and site teams to maintain high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel fabrication and erection works as per approved drawings
• Verify material certificates, mill test certificates (MTC), and traceability
• Conduct visual inspection of welding, bolting, and surface preparation
• Monitor dimensional accuracy and alignment of fabricated members
• Coordinate NDT activities (UT, RT, MT, PT) and review test reports
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards
• Raise NCRs for non-conforming works and follow up on corrective actions
• Maintain inspection records, checklists, and quality reports
• Coordinate with consultants and third-party inspectors during inspections
• Support QA/QC Engineer in audits and quality documentation

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering
• 3–7 years of experience as a QC Inspector – Structural Steel
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and welding inspection
• Familiarity with standards such as AISC, AWS D1.1, BS, EN
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and WPS
• Certification in Welding Inspection (CSWIP / AWS – preferred)

Preferred Skills

• Experience in fabrication yards and site erection works
• Knowledge of surface treatment, blasting, and painting inspection
• Good documentation and communication skills

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
