QC Manager

Industry: Construction / Interior Fit-Out / Marble & Stone Works
Reports to: Project Director / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

The QC Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems to ensure all works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and QA/QC procedures.
• Ensure all materials, workmanship, and installation activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Review and approve Method Statements, ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans), and material submittals.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality compliance.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants, clients, and third-party inspectors.
• Identify non-conformities (NCRs), ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
• Maintain proper quality documentation, records, and reports.
• Ensure testing of materials and works as per project requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on quality standards for site staff.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001) where applicable.
• Prepare weekly/monthly quality reports for management and clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in QA/QC roles within construction or interior projects.
• Strong experience in marble, stone, fit-out, or finishing works (preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, and material approvals.
• Familiar with UAE construction standards and consultant/client requirements.
• ISO 9001 knowledge/certification is an advantage.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
