Job Title: Quality Control Manager - Industrial Motor

Work Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia

Industry: Arabian Qudra (AQ), a subsidiary of Abunayyan Holding Co., is a leading solutions and services provider for the Power & Energy sectors.

Role Purpose

The QC Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all repaired, rewound, and overhauled motors meet applicable quality standards, customer specifications, and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, ATEX, ISO, NEMA, API, MSSD). This role ensures compliance at every stage of the motor repair process, from initial inspection to final testing, while driving continuous improvement in workshop quality systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management & Oversight

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures for motor repair, rewinding, overhauling, and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, OEM standards, ATEX/IECEx requirements for Ex motors , and customer-specific standards.

Inspection & Testing

  • Supervise incoming inspection of motors (visual, mechanical, electrical, insulation resistance, PI tests , etc.).
  • Ensure proper execution of in-process inspections (core loss testing, winding resistance, high-voltage testing, balancing, run outs, re-winding, machine-shop repair etc.).
  • Oversee final quality checks before dispatch, including functional testing, vibration analysis, and performance verification.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain records of inspections, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and test certificates.
  • Ensure traceability and proper calibration of measuring and testing instruments.

Customer & Audit Interface

  • Liaise with customers for inspection visits, witness testing, and final acceptance.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors or certifying bodies for compliance audits.
  • Address customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise QC inspectors and ensure adherence to workshop procedures.
  • Provide training to workshop staff on quality standards, inspection techniques, and safety practices.
  • Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure all QC activities are performed in compliance with HSE policies.
  • Verify that repaired motors meet both technical and safety compliance requirements.

Job Specific Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, motor winding , insulation systems , and explosion-proof motor standards.
  • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, API, ATEX, ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025).
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Certification in Quality Management ( ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, etc.) is an advantage.
  • High energy level with a determined and productive attitude.


Necessary Knowledge and Experience:

Minimum 8 to 10 years in motor repair, testing and QC , with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.


Education and Certification Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent
