QCCD certified Electrical Engineer

Job Description: QCDD Electrical Engineer Company: Argon Global Fire Systems (AG FAFFCO) Location: Doha, Qatar Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled QCDD Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical components of our fire safety systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and QCDD certification of fire alarm systems, emergency lighting, and voice evacuation systems, ensuring full compliance with Qatar’s fire safety codes. Key Responsibilities: - Fire Alarm Design: Design and review complex fire alarm systems, smoke control systems, and central battery/emergency lighting systems. - QCDD Compliance: Prepare and manage all electrical technical submissions for the Qatar Civil Defence Department. Ensure all system designs meet the latest QCDD and NFPA standards. - Project Supervision: Oversee the installation, cabling, and integration of fire alarm panels, detectors, and interfaces with other building management systems (BMS). - Testing & Commissioning: Conduct rigorous testing of electrical fire systems and lead the coordination with QCDD inspectors for final building approvals. - Inter-departmental Coordination: Work closely with the Mechanical team to ensure seamless integration of firefighting equipment with electrical controls. Requirements: - Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. - Certification: Must be a QCDD Certified Engineer (Electrical). - UPDA/MMUP: Valid UPDA/MMUP engineering license is mandatory. - Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in fire alarm and low-current systems within the Qatar market. - Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and fire alarm system programming. Deep understanding of NFPA 72, NFPA 101, and QCDD regulations.
