Responsibilities:
- Safety & Health
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with local and international safety regulations and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures aligned with ISO 45001 and best industry practices.
- Lead safety induction and training sessions for employees, educating them on risk factors, safe work procedures, and emergency response protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries, inspections, and audits from regulatory authorities.
- Quality Management
- Establish and monitor quality control procedures to ensure products, materials, and services meet client specifications and company standards.
- Support implementation and continual improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001.
- Conduct internal quality audits, inspections, and reviews to verify adherence to processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project and operations teams to ensure all deliverables meet defined quality benchmarks.
- Maintain quality records, calibration certificates, inspection reports, and non-conformance registers.
- Environmental Management
- Assist in the development and enforcement of environmental policies in line with ISO 14001 standards.
- Monitor environmental performance indicators, including waste management, emissions, and resource consumption.
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices within the organization.
- Integrated Management System (IMS)
- Support implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Integrated Management System (IMS) covering ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
- Coordinate external audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings and non-conformities.
- Maintain and update documentation including risk assessments, inspection logs, training records, and QHSE manuals.
- Leadership & Coordination
- Collaborate with management and departmental heads to integrate QHSE objectives into daily operations and project planning.
- Supervise and guide external safety officers, ensuring consistency and alignment with company standards.
- Recommend improvements to existing systems and participate in implementing new safety or quality control technologies.
- Stay updated on new legislation, standards, and best practices related to QHSE and advise management accordingly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in a QHSE or Safety Engineer role, preferably within the construction, industrial, or engineering sectors.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 9001:2015 Awareness
- Strong understanding of local and international QHSE regulations and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety/quality management systems.
