Job Title: QHSE General Manager - EMEA
Reporting to: Global General Manager – HSE/Compliance and Global General Manager – QA/ESG
Nature of the Position: Fixed Term, Full Time
Location: Dubai, UAE
Role Overview:
The role holder has overall responsibility for all Quality (QA) and Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) related activities and operations within the EMEA regional product lines. The role holder will also be accountable for QHSE compliance to Hunting’s Quality Management System (QMS) and all regulatory standards such as, but not limited to: API Spec Q1, ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring and supporting the development of QHSE procedures and standards, certifying technological processes and procedures, qualifying products, and supervising tests. Reviewing and updating QHSE procedures as legislative or best practice changes occur
- Ensuring Hunting maintains and surpasses the necessary Group, Company, Industry, National and International standards, regulations, statutes, compliance, and other governmental guidance to ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, that best practices in the field of QHSE are exercised
- Leading negotiation of QHSE standards with customers and promoting the external image of the Company through effective QHSE management
- Coordinating with manufacturing and other internal departments to define and resolve product quality problems and provide advice, guidance and support on all aspects and matters concerning QHSE to all Hunting personnel
- Managing all internal auditing programmes in line with Hunting’s QMS and relevant standards such as API Spec Q1, ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and any other industry standards
- Leading incident investigations, ensuring that methods of investigation and reporting appropriate to the incident are utilised; ensure that lessons are established and learned and that all parties benefit from these lessons
- Tracking and review of all customer complaints/claims to identify and solve problem areas
- Tracking of Quality and HSE documents such as nonconformances, corrective/preventive actions, etc. and acting upon these as required
- Developing and implementing a suite of Key Performance Measures and initiatives to drive improved levels of QHSE
- Producing quarterly reports to inform senior management of QHSE issues and submission of QHSE statistics
- Assisting to develop all project risk mitigation measures including task risk assessments, travel, and security risk assessment etc.
- Defining, developing, and persistently instilling efficient and effective process control and policy compliance with respect to QHSE performance
- Developing QHSE initiatives to ensure the appropriate culture, knowledge, understanding and attitude towards QHSE matters and to facilitate continuous improvement as well as widespread acceptance and adoption of best practice
- Developing programmes for surveillance, and reporting performance indicators, to measure the company’s health and safety performance using standard methods for presentation; promoting and monitoring compliance and ensuring this information is freely available
- Providing QHSE support to the Senior Management Team to ensure that the workplace satisfies requirements for building, ventilation, temperature, lighting sanitary, washing and rest facilities and provides prevention from and precautions against, or adequate control of, exposure to any foreseeable risks
- Accountable to plan and leads/coordinates QHSE related projects.
- Issuing of technical documentation for customers, aimed at verifying organisation’s products’ reliability, safety, and guarantee
- Accountable that working practices conform to regulatory requirements in order to support registration, product development, and manufacture
Qualifications/Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- University or College Degree in Engineering or HSEQ Management/Industry experience
- NEBOSH 5 or 6 National Diploma or equivalent
- Lead Auditor in ISO9001 or API Spec Q1
- Experience of ISO9001, API Spec Q1
- Risk management and incident investigation skills
- Skilled in preparation, development, and delivery of training programs
- High level of computer proficiency (word processing, spreadsheets and presentations)
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft D365
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Full Driving Licence
