QS Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents.

Review and evaluate contractor quotations and variations.

Conduct feasibility studies and cost analyses for projects.

Manage project budgets and monitor expenditure.

Prepare and review interim payment certificates and final accounts.

Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual terms.

Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure smooth execution.

Conduct site visits and progress evaluations.

Support procurement activities and material cost verification.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

Minimum [2-3] years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC preferred).

Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., CostX, Candy).

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Membership or certification (RICS, AIQS, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience with UAE construction regulations and pricing is preferred.
