We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP-CS) - Spanish Speaking Bilingual Only to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on Spanish-speaking clients. This role is essential in supporting clients through their mental health journeys, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and guidance.
Duties
- Provide direct services to clients, including linkage, advocating, supporting, and providing education as needed.
- Connect clients with external programs or services, such as health services, recreational activities, childcare services, financial resources, employment resources, AA/NA groups, transportation resources, and others.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral or emotional episodes effectively, ensuring client safety and stabilization when needed.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards; maintain detailed medical records and progress notes.
- Complete all progress notes and supervisions in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to conduct discharge planning in accordance with the program description.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans, medical records review, and behavioral health interventions
- Ability to perform intake assessments efficiently while demonstrating cultural competence in serving bilingual Spanish-speaking populations.
- Assure client is informed of his/her human rights.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish; ability to build rapport with diverse clients using compassionate listening and culturally sensitive approaches.
- Attend all meetings as required.
- Provide accurate time sheets.
- Must be comfortable with commuting to see clients.
- Advise Clinical Director of the state of clinical services, its staff, and its needs, and solicit assistance in implementing solutions to problems.
- Must have documentation of current certification in the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths Assessment (CANS) or the Adult Needs and Strengths Assessment (ANSA). Certification must be updated annually through an approved entity. If you do not have your certification prior to hire, you must be willing to obtain it.

Minimum Qualifications
- Must hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Services to include social work, medicine, nursing, gerontology, psychology, psychiatric rehabilitation, special education, sociology, counseling, human growth and development, physician assistant, special education, early childhood development, educational psychology, early childhood intervention, vocational rehabilitation, human services counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university and experience providing mental health services and case management to individuals suffering from a mental illness is preferred. This position also requires a valid driver’s license, automobile, and telecommunications availability, excellent verbal and written skills, counseling and social work theories and techniques, and community resources. Strong writing and case conceptualization skills, and reference to a methodology. The successful completion of a criminal history or background investigation is required.
