Are you a highly organized, detail-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Smith is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team. This is a high-volume, fast-moving role, we need someone who hits the ground running and brings a strong work ethic, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without missing a beat.
What You'll Do

Input and manage data for Quality Assurance and maintain accurate electronic and manual filing systems

Register code vessels with The National Board through our AIW/3rd party inspection company

Format and track Microsoft Word and Excel documents in accordance with company policy

Learn and navigate internal software systems

Support supervisors and managers in meeting deadlines with accuracy and timeliness

Maintain consistent communication with leadership, proactively reporting issues or changes
-
Apply basic knowledge of ASME and API codes in day-to-day responsibilities
-
Provide backup support for customer service and receptionist functions as needed
-
Follow all safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements, incident reporting, and stop-work authority when safety protocols cannot be met
What We're Looking For

Prior experience in a Quality Assurance, administrative, or compliance role

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Highly organized with strong time management skills and a professional attitude

Basic knowledge of ASME and API codes is a plus

Willingness to work a flexible schedule

GED or High School diploma preferred, or equivalent experience
