YOUR DAY TO DAY:
To perform a variety of routine inspection tasks on electronic or mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts, hardware, and raw material for conformance to specifications, instructions, and criteria underrate moderate supervision.


YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

Machine and Equipment Used:

Micrometers, dial indicators, mechanical gauges, scales, leak checkers, polariscopes, torque wrenches, borescopes, microscopes, and other standard, specialized, and optical equipment. Continuity checkers, Hi pot tester, digital electronic meters, micrometers, calipers, scales, dial indicators, various gauges, microscopes, optical comparator, polariscope, other standard instruments. Required usage of equipment is determined by the specific area of operation.


  • Inspects a wide variety of electronic or mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, parts, hardware, and raw material for conformance to specifications, instructions, and criteria.

  • Performs inspection of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies.

  • Assures that correct electronic or mechanical components have been assembled using established standard hardware nomenclature.

  • Examines wiring, cabling, soldering, wire wraps, sockets, plugs, and installation of components.

  • Performs routine electronic or mechanical tests and measurements.

  • Reads and interprets blueprints, assembly drawings, and operation sheets to assure products conformance to specifications.

  • Inspects purchased parts and other materials.

  • Understands and uses standard inspection tools following written and verbal instructions.

  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:


  • Mechanical inspection skills and knowledge normally acquired after three (3) years related experience or an equivalent combination of mechanical inspection and assembly experience with an understanding of inspection equipment and techniques.

  • High school Diploma or GED required.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). The successful candidate must be a “U.S. Person” as defined under ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. Person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or (iii) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
