We currently have a vacancy to join a leading provider of comprehensive aviation services based in the Middle East, as a Quality Assurance Officer. The role will be based in Abu Dhabi and offers a full relocation package for the successful candidate.

The company specialises in delivering customised aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, logistics and supply chain services to military and civil aviation customers across the region. Whilst their head office is based in Abu Dhabi, they have a number of operational facilities across various UAE military bases and aviation sites. The company plays a key role in supporting the UAE Armed Forces and other regional air forces. They support a wide range of both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft including military helicopters such as Black Hawks, Chinooks and Apaches as well as transport aircraft such as C130 Hercules. Their services include line and base maintenance, avionics, airframe and engine repair and comprehensive logistical support.

Reporting to the Senior Compliance Monitoring Manager, the successful candidate will support and execute the Quality Assurance strategy within the aviation maintenance site as directed by the QA Manager and/or Aviation Directorate. The QAO will also capture the defined aviation QA Key Performance Indicator(s) (KPI’s) data and report this information to the relevant maintenance program management team and the QA Manager to monitor the overall health of the aviation maintenance program.

The operation works a 24 hour shift pattern comprising of 3 x 8 hour shifts so you will be expected to work a mixture of days and nights.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for supporting the aviation maintenance site auditing scheduled as defined in the maintenance contract.
  • Assist the QA Manager in meeting and ensuring compliance to the documented quality management system auditing requirements and its processes.
  • Assist in the development of the relevant quality assurance KPI(s) to measure and monitor the aviation maintenance programs performance.
  • Carry out compliance audits for both the company as required at both headquarters and/or the maintenance sites and performs root cause analysis as required for corrective actions and support maintenance in continual improvement of the overall quality management system.
  • Performs statistical analysis, data analysis and monthly reporting to the management team.
  • Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of the continual improvement program in collaboration with the management team.
  • Recommends changes to the documented quality management system based on experience and data analysis through monthly information.
  • Maintains a professional standard and practices in all aspects of the quality program and its services and be familiar with military organizations, regulations, procedures and their chain of command.
  • Maintains familiarization and ability to comprehend and understand various engineering specifications, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) drawings and/or repair specifications of aircraft related components and/or parts.
  • Must be able to travel between maintenance sites and headquarters.

About You:


  • BA / BSc in aviation related studies or equivalent experience in aviation quality assurance maintenance and auditing roles.
  • FAA A&P Mechanic License (preferably an IA License).
  • IRCA / RAB Aerospace Assessor (past or present certification).
  • Experience in one of the following: F – 16/heavy aircraft experience (C17/C130/Airbus) or Mirage
  • Previous experience in an aviation quality assurance and auditing roles, various military aviation regulations, experience in International Quality Assurance standards and their applications.
  • Must be experienced with multiple computer based software and program usage and be able to drive and enable the development of quality management systems within organizations.
  • Experienced aircraft inspector, inspection techniques and auditing standards.
  • Must be able to communicate well with others, instil a teamwork mentality, and lead by example.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
