Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer - Manual Tester

Our client having office in I-10/3, Islamabad is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join their engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, identifying and reporting bugs, and ensuring the overall quality of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust, high-performance, and user-friendly software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and automated).

Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing across web and/or mobile applications.

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other team members to identify system requirements and acceptance criteria.

Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile/Scrum team.

Conduct root cause analysis and work with the development team to resolve issues effectively.

Maintain and improve automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.

Ensure compliance with QA standards, best practices, and software development methodologies.

Provide clear and constructive feedback to the development team to improve code quality.

Stay up to date with emerging trends in testing, tools, and processes.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of hands-on QA experience in a software/IT company.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Proficiency in at least one test automation framework/tool (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).

Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

Understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.

Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
