Description
Summary
Brivo is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Manager who will lead and build an international, matrixed team of 5-15 QA engineers responsible for testing applications, code, APIs, and features of our flagship devices and services.
Your team will be an integral part of our Agile delivery process, developing and executing test plans from API testing at the lowest level of our technology stack to manual and automated end-to-end testing of services, devices, applications, and features.
In this role, you will create an environment where your team members champion the quality of our products. You will guide them in designing and implementing effective test plans and encourage transparent communication of potential project risks. Success in this role requires ease in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and the ability to build and nurture partnerships with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers.

Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices.

Ensure that testing processes are aligned with overall project timelines and goals.

Oversee the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.

Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria.

Facilitate communication between QA and other departments to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality software.

Continuously evaluate and improve QA processes, tools, and methodologies.

Implement and manage automated testing solutions to enhance testing efficiency.

Monitor and report on key QA metrics and KPIs to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective testing.

Coordinate with product managers to prioritize testing efforts based on project needs and deadlines.

Ensure that all testing activities are properly documented and adhere to the standards that are in place.

Conduct 1-on-1s weekly with your direct reports to promote growth and eliminate roadblocks.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Knowledge of creating software test suites and validating test results with AI.

Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience with Automation and API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, GitHub, Concourse, Jira).

Proven knowledge of utilizing AI as a testing tool.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
