Quality Assurance role for Clothing Brand

Position: Quality Assurance – Clothing Brand (Denim Preferred)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Professional to oversee and ensure consistent product quality for our clothing line. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in garment inspection, vendor quality management, and production follow-ups, especially in woven garments such as denims, trousers, jackets, blazers, and shirts. This role requires strong attention to detail, technical understanding of garment construction, and the ability to uphold the brand’s quality standards across all vendor locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Inspections:

Conduct initial, mid, and final inspections of goods at vendor factories as per the AQL system and category-specific quality parameters.

• Quality Standards Compliance:

Maintain and ensure garment quality standards at vendor sites based on company guidelines for all bulk shipments.

• Sample Approvals:

Oversee timely approvals of fit samples, protos, size sets, and sealers. Ensure inspection comments are properly implemented through to bulk delivery.

• Production Monitoring:

Follow up with factories to ensure on-time production and bulk delivery as per desired quality parameters.

• Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed QC and inspection reports, ensuring accurate and timely communication with vendors and regular updates to the Category Head.

• Problem Solving:

Provide timely, practical, and cost-effective solutions to production-related quality issues.

• Vendor Quality Oversight:

Conduct inline and final inspections for Delhi, NCR, and Ludhiana-based vendors for woven garments, including denims, trousers, jackets, blazers, and shirts.

• Pre-Production Approvals:

Execute pre-production approvals for fit samples, protos, and size sets for all woven goods produced in-house or outsourced. Conduct on-site inspections at vendor facilities following the Brand’s SOPs and Quality Parameters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

• Graduate degree (preferably in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or related field).
• Certification or formal training in Quality Assurance / Garment Inspections preferred.

Mandatory Knowledge & Skills:

• Strong experience in garment inspections and AQL standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for vendor and production floor interaction.
• Proficient in MS Excel, documentation, and email correspondence.

Additional Knowledge & Skills:

• Basic understanding of fabrics (especially woven topwear and bottomwear).
• Knowledge of pattern making, garment construction, stitching, and finishing processes.
• Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
