About the Role

Our client, a leading player in the Food Industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Team Lead to oversee and ensure the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and product quality. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing QA operations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that all processes comply with local and international food safety standards.

This role requires strong leadership skills, hands-on experience in quality systems, and a deep understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the QA team to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor raw materials, in-process, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and food safety standards.
• Implement and maintain HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and other food safety management systems.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of GMP, QMS 9001, FSMS ISO 22000, ISO/IEC 17025, and Halal Audit.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and update quality assurance policies, SOPs, and documentation.
• Investigate quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Train and mentor staff on food safety, hygiene, and quality protocols.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.
• Ensure laboratory testing, sampling, and reporting are carried out accurately and timely.
• He/She will be responsible to develop and deploy QA/Compliance Policies and SOPs, in line with the latest industry trends.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement in product quality, safety, and compliance.

Qualification Required:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Chemistry or Food Technology

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of food safety systems, HACCP, GMP, and ISO 22000.
• Proficiency in laboratory testing methods, food chemistry, and microbiological analysis.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate a team.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Familiarity with ERP/SAP systems is an advantage.
