Quality Assurance(QA) Lead

Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Quality Assurance(QA) Lead to oversee our Quality Assurance team and ensure the delivery of high-quality product releases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, managing JIRA workflows, collaborating with the Project Management team, and coordinating with business stakeholders to ensure smooth, timely, and quality-focused delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and schedule the QA team; ensure quality standards are met for each sprint and release.
• Create, execute, and maintain test cases (functional, regression, integration, UAT).
• Manage JIRA tasks: create/update tickets, define clear reproduction steps, attach evidence, and maintain priority and SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team on timelines, release criteria, and QA reports.
• Translate business requirements into testable scenarios and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Contribute to API/UI test automation and develop strategies for regression testing coverage.
• Coordinate test environments, review builds, and verify releases prior to deployment.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 2–4 years of QA/testing experience, including at least 2 years in a QA Lead role.
• Strong expertise in test planning, execution, and documentation.
• Proficiency in JIRA (workflows, dashboards, reporting).
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent English communication skills (Urdu is a plus).
• Must be available on-site in Rawalpindi (no remote option).

Skills Required:

• API testing (Postman), SQL for data verification.
• Experience with test case management tools (Zephyr, TestRail).
• Familiarity with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or CI/CD pipelines.

Contract Details:

• Independent contractor/vendor agreement.
• Standard Pakistan business hours (with flexibility during releases).
• Market-competitive salary.
