Quality Control Engineer

The Quality Control Engineer – Fit-Out Projects is responsible for ensuring that all interior works and finishes comply with project specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, verifying materials and workmanship, preparing reports, and collaborating with site teams to maintain the highest quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and understand project specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Monitor and inspect fit-out works including partitions, ceilings, flooring, joinery, paint, and MEP integration.
• Ensure compliance with quality management systems, relevant codes, and standards.
• Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Review and verify submittals, mock-ups, and sample approvals.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for inspections and approvals.
• Maintain quality documentation, including daily reports, snag lists, and QA/QC checklists.
• Monitor material storage and handling on site to prevent damage or deterioration.
• Support the implementation of the Project Quality Plan and conduct site audits.
• Assist in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials, finishes, and systems.
• Familiar with ISO standards, local regulations, and project-specific QA/QC procedures.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quality management software.
