Quality Control Inspector

OWSI is in the process of adding a new Quality Inspector to our great team of manufacturing professionals. We are one of the oldest machine shops in Houston with a proven track record of success and excellence. Within our 30,000 square foot climate-controlled facility we manufacture parts and accessories for the oil/gas and aerospace industries. We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our great team. CMM PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE A PLUS!! **THIS POSITION REQUIRES THE ABILITY TO WORK IN A FAST-PACED & STRESSFUL ENVIRONMENT**

***MUST BE ABLE TO PROVE YOU HAVE THE SKILLS /KNOWLEDGE LISTED BELOW FROM DAY 1***

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing blueprints and specifications used in the manufacturing of finished goods.
• Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
• Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Writing/Preparing CofC Quality Documents for all manufactured items.
• Performing first article, in-process, and final inspections of complex parts.
• Performing line inspections/in-process inspections.
• Record Keeping
• QC Data Entry
• Keeping track of daily needs of the company's quality requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• ***MUST HAVE AT LEAST 7 YEARS QC INSPECTION EXPERIENCE IN A PRECISION MACHINING ENVIRONMENT***
• Superior understanding and knowledge of engineering blueprints, tolerancing, and GD&T.
• High levels of experience with (to include, but not limited to):
• MANUAL HEIGHT GAGES
• CALIPERS
• MICROMETERS
• BORE GAGES
• ELECTRONIC MICRO-HEIGHT GAGES
• MANUAL CMM
• COMPARATOR
• FIRST ARTICLE INSPECTIONS
• FINAL INSPECTIONS
• DECIPHERING CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS FOR MANUFACTURING/FINISHING REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced/stressful environment IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST!!!
• Ability to multi-task, and must have great time management skills.
• Must be able to work with effectively with minimal to no supervision.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
