The Quality Inspection function serves as SunnyCor’s independent product verification control. Depending on experience, job responsibilities may include:

• Performing Receiving Inspection including review of chemical and physical material test results of raw materials and certificates of conformance of special services;
• Performing First Piece inspections to verify machine settings and machine output;
• Performing random production sample inspection per process control plans;
• Performing Final Inspection of production lots;
• Performing First Article Inspection in accordance with AS9102 as applicable;
• Completing all product verification forms and database entries as required;
• Maintaining quality management system logs and lists;
• Reviewing and preparing documentation for product release;
• Maintaining measuring equipment list, monitoring calibration requirements, performing in-house calibration, arranging for outsourced calibration as necessary;
• Monitoring shelf life items recall list and customer property list;
• Packaging and packing of products for shipment;
• Coordinating with Process Engineer in creation of inspection point plans;
• Interacting with customer and supplier counterparts on quality issues;
• Other responsibilities as directed by supervisor.

Experience Prerequisites: Candidates with Aerospace industry experience in an AS9100 environment are highly preferred. We are willing to train candidates that possess the basic skills listed below and show an aptitude for detail-oriented work.

Skills:

Basic: Excellent spacial reasoning ability; problem solving ability and attention to detail; proficient computer software skills including data entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and data files; ability to work independently; ability to train and supervise others; advanced math knowledge helpful.

Skill set for candidates with previous experience: In addition to basic skills listed above, experienced candidates should have mastery of blueprint reading; proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing; and mastery in use of measuring instruments including ability to use and program CMM type gages.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate skills.

BACKGROUND CHECKS SunnyCor will not ask about criminal or arrest history before a contingent offer of employment is made or before a candidate is found to be otherwise qualified. When a contingent offer of employment is made, SunnyCor plans to obtain a background screening report about the candidate. At that time, we will request the candidate’s written authorization that gives SunnyCor permission to compile the report.
