Quality Control Inspector

AM Haire Corp is an industry leader in producing custom commercial truck bodies.

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for verifying that the completed truck bodies meet all requirements.

Duties:

• Inspect completed truck bodies for workmanship, completeness, cosmetics and function.
• Perform in-process inspections of components, assemblies and coatings
• Perform tests such as DOT and FMVSS certifications (training provided by AMH)
• Coordinate corrective actions with production team

Requirements:

• Previous Quality Control inspection experience in a vehicle upfitter or metal fabrication
• Quick and retentive learner, especially of technical information
• Experience and abilities with measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers and coating devices (thickness, adhesion)
• Excellent eyesight (natural or corrected) to perform cosmetic inspections
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must speak and write English clearly to provide technical information to production and support teams.
• Must be able to work and walk in a manufacturing environment, including around trucks, production equipment and stairs.
• Must be able to wear PPE for eye, ear and foot protection.

Desired:

• MS-Office experience: Word, Excel, Outlook
• Experience in inspecting welding
• Experience with communicating with vendors and customers

Compensation:

• Hourly, DOE

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
