Quality Control Inspector (2nd - Shift) (3-5 Years Experience)

Schedule: Full-Time 3 PM - 11PM

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring products meet established quality standards and customer expectations. Acting as the Voice of the Customer on the production floor, this role is responsible for identifying quality concerns, supporting containment efforts, and providing real-time feedback to production teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform hourly inspections to verify product conformance to specifications
  • Identify and support containment of non-conforming materials
  • Monitor process performance and report abnormal conditions
  • Maintain and update quality data and reports
  • Participate in Tier meetings and quality discussions
  • Conduct Layered Process Audits
  • Support quality lab testing as needed
  • Assist with problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicate quality concerns to production and leadership in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
  • 3–5 years of manufacturing or quality experience preferred
  • Experience with problem-solving methods such as 8D strongly preferred
  • Basic math skills (decimals, fractions)
  • Experience using inspection tools and gauges
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a background check

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Standing and walking for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to move throughout the production floor
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment

Pay: $22.78 - $24.06 per hour
