Quality Control Lab Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support polymer compounding, extrusion trials, and quality control testing. This role is ideal for someone comfortable working both in a lab and plant environment, with strong attention to detail and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and advanced lab testing:
• Melt Flow Index (MFI)
• Moisture analysis
• Tensile and impact testing (Izod)
• Hardness testing
• Particle size distribution (PSD)
• Support production trials and sampling on extrusion lines
• Document and report test results accurately
• Assist with formulation tracking and quality verification
• Maintain lab equipment and calibration schedules
• Follow all safety procedures including PPE and dust control protocols
• Work closely with operations and production teams

Requirements

• Plastics, polymers, chemicals, or related lab environment
• Extrusion or compounding processes (preferred)
• Basic lab instruments and testing methods
• Strong attention to detail and documentation
• Ability to work in both lab and industrial (plant) settings
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and being on your feet

Preferred

• Experience with:
• Twin-screw extrusion
• Masterbatch or filled polymers
• MFI testing, tensile testing, or GC analysis
• Experience in ISO / GMP / regulated environments

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
