Quality Control Team Leader
Egypt
- Define quality standards and metrics for project/product
- Keep raising the bar and standards of all the quality processes with every project
- Plot milestones and checkpoints to check the quality on a timely basis
- Work with all stake holders to ensure that the quality metrics are met
- Define Testing Strategies
- Define processes for test plan and other phases of the testing cycle
- Ensure all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning, test execution, quality assurance and issue tracking.
- Set processes for test plan reviews and ensure that test plans get reviewed by all stakeholders
- Review test strategies and see that all the various kinds of testing like unit, functional, performance, stress, acceptance etc. are getting covered
- Ensure that the testing team is focusing on automation along with manual testing
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software testing, including 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium)
- Load/stress testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner)
- Test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Zephyr, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Writing and executing SQL queries for test data validation
- Test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium)
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience with mobile, web, and API testing.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and handle client-facing responsibilities.
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and integration of QC in pipelines is a plus.
- Familiarity or hands-on usage of AI-based testing tools is a strong advantage.
- ISTQB Foundation certification is required; Advanced (CTAL) or Expert (CTEL) certifications are highly preferred.
- Scrum certification is a plus.
