Job Description – Quality Control Specialist (Production Department)

Our client is a leading global multinational operating in the FMCG, Food & Beverage sector, recognized for product innovation, manufacturing excellence, and high international quality standards. With strong operations across the Middle East, the company is expanding its production capabilities and is seeking a Quality Control Specialist to support its growth.

Role Overview

The Quality Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that all products meet the company’s stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. This position is part of the Production Department , working closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality Assurance teams to monitor, test, and validate raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.

This is a key operational role for a candidate who is detail-oriented, analytical, and committed to excellence in FMCG production environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality inspections and laboratory tests on raw materials, WIP, and finished products .
  • Ensure all products comply with ISO standards, HACCP, GMP, and company SOPs .
  • Monitor production lines for quality deviations, contamination risks, equipment hygiene , or parameter inconsistencies.
  • Document test results, non-conformities, and corrective actions in accordance with internal reporting standards.
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisors and Maintenance teams to resolve issues affecting quality.
  • Support quality audits (internal & external) and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct line checks, sensory evaluations, pH tests, microbiological sampling, and packaging integrity assessments.
  • Train operators on quality standards, hygiene, and critical control points .
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, defects, and quality risks.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Industrial Quality (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in FMCG, food production, or beverage manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems : ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, SOPs, Food Safety Management.
  • Experience working in high-volume production plants (beverages, dairy, soft drinks, or food).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret test results and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced manufacturing environments.

Mobility Requirement

Candidates must be willing and able to relocate permanently to:

  • Kuwait , or
  • Bahrain , or
  • Saudi Arabia (KSA)
