Quality Controller

Job Title: Quality Controller – Diet Food CateringJob Summary

The Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all diet food products meet the required quality, hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards. This role involves monitoring food preparation, storage, and distribution processes to ensure compliance with company policies, diet plans, and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and inspect food preparation, cooking, packing, and dispatch processes.
  • Ensure all diet meals comply with approved diet plans, portion sizes, and nutritional guidelines.
  • Check food quality, taste, freshness, temperature, and presentation before dispatch.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP, local health regulations).
  • Inspect cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and staff.
  • Verify proper labeling of diet meals (patient name, diet type, date, and time).
  • Maintain quality control records, reports, and inspection checklists.
  • Identify quality issues and report them to the Production Manager or Dietitian.
  • Ensure correct storage of raw materials and finished products.
  • Monitor expiry dates and FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Assist in audits and inspections by health authorities or clients (hospitals/clinics).
  • Conduct staff awareness on quality, hygiene, and food safety practices.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Nutrition, Hotel Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in diet catering, hospital catering, or food production.
  • Knowledge of diet plans, portion control, and nutritional standards.
  • Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • Good communication and reporting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to KD300.000 per month
