Role Purpose
Manages the commercial aspects of a construction project at a senior level, providing oversight on cost planning, contract negotiation, and financial risk control. This role serves as the link between the project management and quantity surveying functions, ensuring commercial strategies are implemented efficiently and in line with project delivery goals.
Key Accountabilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all quantity surveying and commercial matters.

Lead the development of cost plans, budgets, and contractual strategies.

Oversee claim management, dispute resolution, and contract negotiations.

Collaborate with the Project Manager in decision-making and progress monitoring.

Supervise and review the performance of the QS team and consultants.

Provide strategic input on value engineering and cost optimization.

Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory frameworks.

Review monthly cost reports, forecasts, and risk assessments.

Support procurement strategy and subcontractor selection.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or Construction Management.

Minimum 10 years of experience in QS and project-based roles, including managerial experience.

In-depth understanding of commercial project management and contract law (especially FIDIC).

Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Proficient in project and cost management software.

Very Good English.
-
PMP, MRICS, or equivalent certification is a plus.
