Quality Engineer

Description:

Analyze quality performance utilizing using statistical and analytical tools and methods.

Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate reliability, precision, reliability and accuracy of processes, products and production equipment. Coordinate with suppliers and customers relating to quality trends, performance and corrective action. Review all product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications.

Lead continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis. Review design and process changes for effect on product performance. Facilitate teams, meetings, training, and support and monitor the Quality/AS9100/Continuous Improvement effort plant wide. Serve as a resource and additional leadership on quality related issues: including process capability, SPC, PPAP, and customer/supplier interface.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develops and implements process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet customer-specified requirements.
  • Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member.
  • Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components.
  • Verify conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys.
  • Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.
  • Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB

Education:

Bachelor degree in engineering or related field preferred.

Experience:

2- 4 years’ of experience in a quality assurance environment required.

Other:

Demonstrate effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills. Self-Motivated. Ability to multi-task. Good time management skills. Works well/accurate under pressure independently and as part of a team.
