Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to take part in Şişecam’s Bilecik Raw Material Preparation Facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering disciplines
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the mining industry
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations related to mine operations, raw material preparation, and beneficiation facilities
• Ability to manage relations with government institutions and environmental/TMGD consultants
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001), Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, Risk Analysis, Lean Production, Lean Six Sigma, Customer Quality, and 8D Problem Solving Techniques
• Experience using SAP QM, QMS, and Jira is an advantage
• Competence in reporting and data analysis
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Result-oriented, responsible, and adaptable to teamwork
• Good command of English
• Residing in or able to relocate to Bilecik or nearby areas
• Able to travel without restrictions, possession of a driver’s license (Class B) and active driving experience — preferably with an SRC and Psychotechnical Certificate

Job Description

• Ensure the effective implementation of quality and environmental management systems on behalf of the Quality Directorate at crushing-screening, beneficiation plants, and mining sites located in Bilecik, Eskişehir, Balıkesir, and Afyon,
• Conduct statistical process control and quality operation activities within production processes, monitor process performance, and ensure KPI management for the facilities,
• Contribute to performance improvement projects within the scope of continuous improvement activities,
• Participate in internal and external audit processes,
• Monitor legal obligations related to quality and environmental regulations and support official permit processes,
• Ensure coordination with the company’s central quality and environment department and other facilities,
• Maintain and oversee the implementation of ISO management systems across all facilities.
