Job Purpose:
-
Detail-oriented and technically proficient Quality Engineer to oversee the quality assurance and control processes for Package Unit Substations (11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 132kV, and 220kV).
Key Accountabilities:
Material Reception Quality
-
Inspect and verify conformity of incoming components (e.g., RMU, switchgear panels, RTUs).

Verify incoming transformer units (oil-filled and dry type) for external damage, nameplate data, and preservation status.

Review certificates of conformity, test reports, and supplier documents.
-
Coordinate with procurement on material NCRs and resolution timelines.
In-Process Quality Assurance

Monitor assembly and wiring of switchgear, control panels, and interface components.
-
Monitor integration of transformer bushings, oil levels, PRD, silica gel breather, and cooling systems as applicable.

Perform stage-wise inspections and ensure compliance with approved ITPs.
-
Check panel alignment, busbar clearance, gland plate sealing, cable routing, and relay logic implementation.

Issue quality alerts or observations during the process if deviations are observed.
Final Product Quality
-
Conduct pre-FAT and FAT inspections.

Conduct transformer-specific FAT checks, including winding resistance, turns ratio, insulation resistance, and functional checks on protection devices.

Support client inspections, third-party validations, and punch list clearance.
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain QC documentation, including checklists, NCR logs, calibration records, and test reports.

Prepare final QA dossiers for client submission.

Participate in internal and external audits.
Quality Improvement & Compliance
-
Initiate and monitor corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
-
Support continuous improvement activities and QMS enhancements.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001, and site-specific safety standards
Job Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering..
-
3–5 years' experience in quality inspection of MV/HV substations or switchgear systems. Exposure and experience in 11kV, 22kV, 33kV, 132kV, and 220kV)

Good Command of English.
