Job Purpose- Management of working of SF6 products testing department including HV FPY.
- Managing the testing and review the results with deep investigation (Analyses).
- Ensuring adherence to the quality standards keeping in mind the health and safety Aspects.
- Carrying out activities pertaining to investigation of complaints, preparation of First Investigation Reports (FIR) for the site returned units, implementation of ECN’s, process audits, collection and circulation of FPY data, leak data and high voltage test data.
- Liaising with various departments to effectively carry out the function of testing and pre- dispatch inspection.
- Liaise with Supplier QA & Fabrication for issues pertaining to quality of bought out items and fabrication respectively.
- Impart training to new recruits and upgrade the skills of the existing personnel
- Monitor the activities of the testing personnel and to ensure that they carry out the test as per the Quality Control Instructions
- Raise requisition/communicate the requirement of new testing instruments
- Manage the calibration of instruments/equipment for SF6 products from third party as well as in-house
- Manage verification of jigs & fixtures for SF6 products
- Maintenance of records of the test & inspection
- Manage the document archiving of the birth certificates
- Undertake continuous improvement projects related to the products/processes
- Motivate sub-ordinates to perform better
- Proactively identify potential risks and implement preventive actions.

The role involves both office-based analysis and on-site inspections and testing.
- Understanding of quality control methodologies (like Six Sigma, ISO standards, lean manufacturing), root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and the use of statistical tools. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and communication are vital to uphold quality standards and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities
The position is responsible to:
- D365 System implementation & standardization.
- Achieving defect free incoming parts.
- ECN implementation at supplier end through proper notification.
- New parts approval through proper evaluation and testing.
- In-process trouble shooting related to parts problem.
- Training of inspector on inspection equipment. To achieve the SMART target set for supplier quality team.
- Facilitate safe working environment for people and implement H&S guidelines and regulations.
- To undertake any other duties and responsibilities as required / instructed to maintain and / or improve the efficiency, quality and service provided by the company.
- Optimizing inspection levels to insure the most economic cost of poor quality.
- Work closely with the L. E. group supplier, Quality, Logistics and Purchasing team.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills- Bachelor’s in electrical engineering and understand and analysing of all kinds of Engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and symbol.
- Well knowledge is basic office software i.e., outlook, word, excel (data analysing), Power point etc.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience on relevant skills as detailed above.
- Usage testing measurement analysing drawings,
- Raising ECRs and support to production and resolve day today issues without failures. MIG/TIG Welding.
