Job Purpose
  • Management of working of SF6 products module testing department.
  • Ensuring adherence to the quality standards keeping in mind the health and safety aspects
  • Liaising with various departments to effectively carry out the function of testing.
  • Impart training to new recruits and upgrade the skills of the existing personnel
  • Monitor the activities of the testing personnel and to ensure that they carry out the test as per the Quality Control Instructions
  • Raise requisition/communicate the requirement of new testing instruments
  • Manage the calibration of instruments/equipment for SF6 products from third party as well as inhouse
  • Manage verification of jigs & fixtures for SF6 products
  • Maintenance of records of the test & inspection
  • Undertake continuous improvement projects related to the products/processes
  • Motivate sub-ordinates to perform better
  • Proactively identify potential risks and implement preventive actions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Timely completion of the testing as per production plan
  • Weekly circulation of leak data, High Voltage data & Partial Discharge data
  • Improvement in HV & PD defects
  • Timely circulation of FIR reports
  • Timely calibration of test instruments/equipment
  • Timely validation of jigs & fixtures

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Role will execute the Testing for SF6 Products and be critical in the development of global Quality for Lucy. In addition to the management of the day-to-day activities of QA, the role will also develop opportunities to improve quality across the business, working closely with Supplier QA team.

Behavioural Competencies
