Quality Engineer

QA Skillset & Responsibilities

• 
  Strong hands-on experience in software quality assurance with a solid understanding of SDLC and STLC

• 
  Expertise in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios

• 
  Experience in manual testing including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing

• 
  Proven experience in API testing for RESTful services using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or Rest Assured

• 
  Strong knowledge of integration testing across multiple systems, services, and third-party integrations

• 
  Hands-on experience in migration testing, including data validation, reconciliation, and post-migration verification

• 
  Ability to validate backend data using SQL queries and ensure data integrity

• 
  Experience in identifying, logging, tracking, and retesting defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps

Automation & Technical Skills (Preferred)

• 
  Experience in developing and maintaining automated test scripts for APIs and applications

• 
  Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium

• 
  Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and test execution in build pipelines

• 
  Basic understanding of microservices and cloud-based architectures

Documentation & Communication Skills

• 
  Strong documentation skills with the ability to create clear, detailed, and structured QA artifacts

• 
  Experience in maintaining test plans, test cases, test reports, and migration validation documents

• 
  Ability to document defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence

• 
  Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders

• 
  Ability to communicate test status, risks, and quality metrics confidently

Collaboration & Ownership

• 
  Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts, and DevOps teams

• 
  Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies

• 
  Take ownership of assigned modules and ensure end-to-end quality

• 
  Mentor junior QA team members and review their test deliverables (as applicable)

Experience & Qualifications

• 
  4–5 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
