Quality Engineer (Tier 1 Automotive)

Summary
Play a key role in driving quality excellence by supporting the Assistant Quality Manager across all aspects of the function. This position partners closely with both salaried and hourly team members, helping lead quality initiatives, strengthen processes, and ensure outstanding performance for both the plant and its customers.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key voice for quality, collaborating with internal teams to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges
• Support supplier and customer production/process control activities, ensuring strong implementation and measurable effectiveness
• Help guide core quality systems, including sampling procedures, APQP, PPAP, and IMDS activities
• Contribute to the management, auditing, and continuous improvement of IATF/ISO systems and standards
• Serve as a point of contact for customer and supplier quality matters, including participating in on-site visits
• Assist in maintaining critical quality documentation, supporting product launches, and driving resolution of production variances and warranty concerns
• Help define standards for non-conforming materials and participate in scrap review processes
• Partner with teams to investigate and respond to customer quality concerns in a timely, solutions-focused manner
• Coordinate and support PPAP documentation and submissions
• Assist with PFMEA development and broader APQP activities
• Contribute to building standardized work and driving continuous process improvements
• Support the rollout and execution of ISO and IATF initiatives
• Take on additional responsibilities that support overall quality and operational success

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field with 2+ years of quality experience in a stamping or robotic assembly environment

OR

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology with 3+ years of relevant experience

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
