Job Purpose:

To ensure that all furniture and metal products meet the company’s quality standards, customer specifications, and industry compliance requirements through effective inspection, testing, and process control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance and quality control systems for furniture and metal manufacturing operations.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of wooden, metal, and hybrid furniture products.
• Monitor production processes to identify areas of improvement in quality and consistency.
• Establish and update quality checklists, inspection standards, and testing procedures.
• Train production teams on quality standards, defect identification, and corrective actions.
• Investigate quality complaints and non-conformances; recommend and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
• Coordinate with design, production, and purchase teams to ensure material and component quality compliance.
• Maintain inspection reports, test records, calibration logs, and ISO documentation.
• Conduct vendor audits and incoming material inspections for wood, metal, powder coating, and upholstery parts.
• Oversee product finishing quality – including paint, polish, coating, welding, fitting, and assembly.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of wood, metal fabrication, and finishing processes (powder coating, polishing, welding, etc.)
• Good understanding of quality tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and CAPA.
• Proficiency in measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, gauge, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage a team of quality inspectors and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in quality control/assurance within the furniture, metal, or fabrication industry.
• Experience in custom and modular furniture manufacturing is an added advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
