Role Description

We’re seeking a Quality Inspector with machining or fabrication inspection experience to support a high‑mix, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on dimensional inspection, full PPAP layouts, GD&T interpretation, and accurate documentation. Candidates must have hands‑on experience performing complete PPAP submissions and full dimensional layouts.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional inspections for PPAP (layouts, feature checks, bubble prints)
  • Inspect machined and fabricated parts to print, including GD&T and weld symbols
  • Verify incoming, in‑process, and final parts meet customer and print requirements
  • Document nonconformances and support corrective actions
  • Work with production, machining, and fabrication teams to resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate, audit‑ready quality records

Required Qualifications

  • Machining or fabrication inspection experience
  • PPAP documentation and dimensional reporting experience
  • Ability to read complex blueprints and GD&T
  • Strong math skills (geometry, tolerances)
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Clear communication skills
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred

  • AWS/ASME welding code familiarity
  • Faro Arm or portable CMM experience
  • CWI certification
  • Experience with tight‑tolerance machined or welded parts
