Position Overview
AVStar Fuel Systems Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Aerospace Quality Inspector to ensure that all components and assemblies meet strict industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining safety, reliability, and compliance across our aerospace manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of aerospace parts, assemblies, and materials using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMMs).

Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify product conformity.

Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections.

Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

Identify non-conformances and collaborate with engineering and production teams on corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with industry standards such as AS9100 and FAA regulations.

Support internal and external audits as needed.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.

2+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Experience with inspection tools and quality systems.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills

Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.

Experience using coordinate measuring machines (CMM).

Knowledge of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
