Position Summary

Archem America, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the Quality Department and ensure the continued success of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System. This role serves as the Voice of the Customer, maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers while driving quality initiatives that support production, engineering, and overall operational excellence.

The Quality Manager will oversee daily quality operations, lead a team of quality professionals, and ensure that products, processes, and systems consistently meet internal and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities-Quality Leadership

• Direct the day-to-day operations of the Quality Department in support of Production and Engineering.
• Develop, supervise, and evaluate Quality Department staff.
• Prepare and present monthly quality performance reports.
• Develop and execute the department’s annual action plan and contribute to plant strategic planning.

Customer & Supplier Interface

• Serve as the primary quality contact for customers and subcontractors.
• Manage quality-related discussions including new product launches, PPAP submissions, and qualifications.
• Visit customers, subcontractors, and suppliers as needed to maintain strong relationships.

Quality Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Plan and implement quality-related activities including:
• Quality engineering
• Inspection and testing
• Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reporting
• Analyze product, process, or system issues and implement effective corrective actions.
• Ensure responses to customer issues are communicated promptly and effectively.

Compliance & Auditing

• Ensure internal quality audits are completed and audit findings are communicated appropriately.
• Approve and document customer and internal test methods and ensure records are maintained.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Support and maintain 3S/continuous improvement activities in the quality area.

Product & Process Support

• Ensure new product documentation, testing, and training are completed on time.
• Report quality issues to appropriate leadership and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field
• 5+ years of experience in a quality-related manufacturing environment
• (Automotive manufacturing experience preferred)
• 3+ years of Quality Management experience
• Knowledge of testing laboratory procedures and calibration systems
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and database systemsPreferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office and laboratory environment within a manufacturing facility. The role requires regular interaction with production and engineering teams.

Physical requirements may include standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 20 pounds.

Travel

Some local and occasional overnight travel may be required to support customer, supplier, or subcontractor relationships.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
