Role and Responsibilities

• Works closely with manufacturing to ensure a quality product is being produced
• Perform inspections on various processes
• Enforce good manufacturing practices and provide documentation
• Performs in process, receiving and final inspections on switchgear and components
• Ensures all calibrated tools used in manufacturing processes are within their required frequency
• Assist with problem solving/process improvements related to product quality and customer field warranty issues
• Assist in developing and implementing quality procedures as needed
• Works closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers
• Knowledge of reading and understanding drawing specifications
• Knowledge in inspection of welds
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications: Required

• High School Diploma
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge performing receiving, in-process and final inspections on various parts.

Qualifications: Preferred

• Knowledge in inspection of sheet metal fabricated parts / weld inspections.
• Good documentation skills

Skills:

• Written and verbal communication skills
• Computer skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
• Demonstrate strengths in decision making
• Good organizational skills
• Familiar with testing and documentation requirements on all inspections
• Must be able to work without supervision
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be a self-starter

General Physical Demands & Safety Awareness:

• Balfour Beatty l – Total Power Group is committed to excellent Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) performance as an integral part of its service and business activities. Employees should have experience with, use appropriately and encourage others to use Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in the appropriate areas of our operation.
• For general manufacturing & warehousing areas with MEDIUM duty, employees should be able to exert or lift up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. Walking, bending, standing and sitting foreseen frequently.

For general office areas with LIGHT duty, employees should be able to exert or lift up to 25 lbs. of force occasionally and up to 5 lbs. of force frequently. Prolonged standing and sitting are required
