Quantitative Researcher
We are seeking a Quantitative Researcher for our company operating in the oil and gas sector.
Location: İstanbul- Ankara
About the Role
We are looking for a Quantitative Researcher to join our growing commodities research team.
You will work on developing, testing, and implementing data-driven trading and forecasting models using quantitative and machine learning techniques.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong analytical mindset, programming skills, and a passion for financial markets — prior experience in commodities is not required.
Responsibilities

Develop and test quantitative models for commodity price forecasting and market analysis.

Work with time series and alternative datasets to extract predictive signals.

Research and implement machine learning algorithms for forecasting and trading strategies.

Collaborate with data engineers and traders to integrate models into production workflows.

Continuously monitor model performance and improve robustness and interpretability.
Requirements

1–2 years of experience as a Quantitative Researcher, Data Scientist, or similar analytical role.

Strong programming skills in Python (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.).

Solid understanding of statistics, econometrics, and machine learning.

Experience with time series modeling (ARIMA, XGBoost, LSTM, etc.) is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a research-driven environment.
Nice to Have

Exposure to financial markets, especially commodities or macro data.

Knowledge of quantitative finance concepts (futures, hedging, spreads, volatility, etc.).
