Job Summary:
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to provide comprehensive cost management and quantity surveying services for development and infrastructure projects. This role operates on a call-off consultancy basis, delivering cost planning, measurement, and valuation services across multiple projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Conduct cost planning and value engineering exercises
- Manage tender processes and evaluate bids
- Prepare and assess variation orders and claims
- Monitor project costs and provide financial reporting
- Support procurement and contract administration
- Ensure compliance with measurement standards and practices
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field from a recognized institution
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying
- Strong knowledge of measurement standards and cost management
- Professional quantity surveying qualifications (RICS, AIQS preferred)
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools
Preferred Experience:
- Infrastructure development projects
- Buildings and construction sector experience
- Humanitarian and emergency response
- Fit-out and rehabilitation projects
- Development projects in economic, health, and education sectors
