Job Details
Quantity Surveyor with 8–10 years of experience, preferably working with a Main Contractor.
Requirements

Diploma / bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field having UAE equivalency.

Engineer's License from Abu Dhabi Municipality.
Knowledge & Skills

Must have successfully completed at least two sewerage and water pipeline projects.

Strong knowledge of Bespoke contract conditions of UAE Client and FIDIC contract conditions.

Excellent understanding of quantity surveying practices, cost control, methods of measurements such as CESMM, POMI.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Project.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Strong attention to detail and analytical ability.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed quantity take-offs to facilitate the timely finalization of material/supplier orders in coordination with the Project team and Procurement department.
Prepare and update site measurements, including RCDR’s and other Client requirements, to facilitate submission of interim valuations and follow-up with the Consultant / Client QS for the certification.
Facilitate closure of project by conducting material reconciliation and final account in liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
Prepare, submit and administer Subcontractors / Suppliers payment certifications, Variation orders and final account statements.
Prepare and maintain commercial reports, including monthly project reports in coordination with the site team.
Coordinate with project engineers and QA/QC engineers for the approved ITR’s and other documents required for interim Valuations.
Review BOQ items, identify potential risks affecting project revenue, and initiate discussions with the Project Manager and Functional Manager for appropriate actions proactively.
Coordinate with the Finance and Administration departments on all commercial aspects of Projects, including supplier and subcontractor payments, as well as Client invoicing.
Liaise with Client and Consultant Quantity Surveyor/discipline engineers as required for all commercial matters.
Prepare and update project cashflow forecasts, monthly recap reports for the project for both internal and external requirements.
Identify and prepare variation orders as per the contract, including new rate proposals for new items in line with contractual terms and conditions.
